The BFI Capital Group celebrated its annual 2-day Christmas Team Event last week in Lenzerheide, canton of Graubünden, in the southeast corner of Switzerland. As we do for our blog readers every year, we wanted to try and put you right there in the mountains with us and share the “Alpen Stimmung”.

The event started Thursday morning when team members from BFI Capital Group - BFI Consulting, BFI Infinity, BFI Bullion, and aXedras - all met in the morning for coffee and Gipfeli (croissants) before some headed off to the slopes for skiing in the crisp, cold, yet blindingly sunny day. A few others went for a round of snowshoeing, and whoever was left either took time to walk around the village or enjoy the warm spa.

Then, all of the exhausted team members – yes, even spa’ing can be exhausting 😊 – reconvened in the later afternoon with dinner up at the Restaurant Crest’Ota. After enjoying a glass of wine or a Glühwein (mulled wine), along with local meats and cheese, in the clear evening mountain air, we made our way inside for a dinner that consisted of great laughs, memories, accolades, and the celebration of another successful year.

Friday morning, after packing ourselves up and checking out of the hotel, the team got to sample what it is like to be in a biathlon, a winter sport that combines cross-country skiing with shooting. While there wasn’t enough snow to get us all in cross-country skis, we did have to get the heart rate up a bit before attempting the target shooting. No doubt, there is a huge amount of skill that goes into the sport! Lenzerheide will be hosting the Biathlon World Championships from February 12-23, 2025, so it was perfect marketing for the big event coming up!

Finally, all of the BFI’sters had one more lunch together before a hearty round of hugs and handshakes sent everyone on to their weekends.

There is a term, “teamwork makes the dream work”. It applies fittingly to all of us under the BFI Capital Group. Our annual Christmas event once again gave us a chance to celebrate the success of the previous year while building up our energy for the new one ahead.
