Dirk Steinhoff and Frank R. Suess discuss how rising political polarization and the positive global trend towards nuclear energy are two of last year’s biggest game changers, amongst others. They share their expectations for inflation and how, due to supply chain shortages and lack of investment in exploration, commodity prices will most probably keep rising – even if we’re headed into a recession.

They turn their focus to geopolitics, an area that will only continue to increase in importance in 2024 for the concerned investor. Withthe BRICS countries gaining in strength and size, and a shifting world powerstructure, the de-dollarization theme is becoming very real….if not for today, certainly in the future.

Finally, Dirk digs deeper into how BFI selects what they feel are the most interesting sectors compared to the events in the world, what his attitude towards specific investment areas is, and how investors can effectively manage upcoming risks. And jurisdictional diversification and safe custody are becoming just as important today as how you invest.
